Christmas Light Competition
Join us for the 2025 "Light Up Nellie Lake" Christmas light and decorating competition on December 20, 2025! Celebrate the holiday spirit by showcasing your dazzling light displays and spreading joy throughout the lakeside community. Whether you're a seasoned decorator or a first-timer, everyone is welcome to participate. Don't miss out on the festivities and the chance to win exciting prizes! No matter if you have one light or are sending your hydro meter into overdrive, everyone is welcome.

ENTRY RULES
THIS IS A FUN AND FREE EVENT THAT IS OPEN TO EVERYONE!
No matter if you have just one decoration or something small, your participation is what counts the most. Let’s unite to celebrate the creativity and joy of the season!
The "Light Up Nellie Lake" Christmas decorating competition will have three categories for the Christmas Light Competition:
- Best Lakeside Decorations
- Best Roadside Decorations
- Best Overall Decorations (Lake and Road)
Additionally, we will be awarding a special Christmas Spirit recognition prize again this year for any house adorned with festive Christmas lights. Get ready to showcase your creativity and spread some holiday cheer!

Location - Event Headquarters Will Be At Cameron's Beach Fire Pit
Time - Starts at 1PM - 3PM For Day Evens
Light Competition Judging from 6PM to 8PM
Santa will be Cameron's Beach doing photos and will have a small gift for the little ones from 1-3PM. It will be cold, and everything is outdoors, so please dress warm. Kids bring your sleighs as there will be sliding.
The wagon rides will start at 6PM at the fire Cameron's Beach entrance. We would like to encourage everyone that comes out to tour around the lake and have a look. There are some magnificent setups that you don’t want to miss. We are also limited to wagon space, so please take turns. For those that would like to follow the wagon in their vehicles, please use hazard lights for the safety of everyone. For anyone walking around the lake, please remember your flashlight and reflective gear. Dress warm and bring your blankets.
Winners will be selected before 9PM and announced at Don and Kristie Kimball's - Located at 196 Nellie Lake West. Please join us there for some Christmas cheer throughout the evening.
There will be a warming and hot beverage station at Matt Charette's across from Cameron's Beach as well.
If you have any questions, please let us know. We plan to have results posted Sat evening and will contact the winners for your prizes.
